Maths Teacher – Specialist School

We are working in partnership with a specialist school in Ormskirk to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a full-time position starting in January, running initially until Easter 2026, with the potential for extension.

The Role:
* Delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to secondary-aged pupils
* Planning and adapting lessons to meet a range of individual learning needs
* Supporting pupils with additional needs to re-engage with education and build confidence
* Managing behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and senior leadership
* Monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level
* Experience working within specialist, alternative, or SEN settings is desirable, but not essential
* Is calm, patient, and adaptable in their approach
* Can build strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning
* Is committed to inclusive and pupil-centred practice
