Protection and Prevention Development, Assurance and Body Worn Video Officer | 8701 | Fixed Term Contract 12 Months | 37 hours per week | £39,562 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Wymondham
We are advertising for someone to work within our Protection and Prevention department covering two very important aspects of our job. This role will support training and quality assurance for teams that work in the community. It involves putting together processes to track and book courses, developing training plans, and ensuring the service meets quality assurance requirements for the community safety and fire safety departments. Some assessments may be carried out in line with the successful individual’s competence levels. The applicant will also work to implement and manage a new body worn video cameras and support system, assist with staff training to use the cameras and the editing and storage system for evidence, and contribute to handling freedom of information requests involving footage. They will work with other departments to support learning from operational incidents and evidence for fire safety enforcement activities.
It will be based at our headquarters in Wymondham, but will be a hybrid worker, working from home or the office to suit. There may be requirements to support and deliver training and exercises across the county, including at fire stations or during operational exercises.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage courses and training for Protection and Prevention teams; develop training plans and track bookings.
* Ensure quality assurance across community safety and fire safety activities; conduct assessments as competence allows.
* Assist with implementation and ongoing management of the new body worn video cameras and support system; train staff to use the system and manage footage editing and storage.
* Support responses to freedom of information requests involving video footage; contribute to learning from operational incidents and evidence for enforcement activities.
* Collaborate with other departments and deliver training/exercises countywide as needed.
Location and Flexibility
Hybrid role based at Norfolk's headquarters in Wymondham. Occasional travel across the county for trainings and exercises may be required.
