About the Role
We're looking for an organised and professional Transport Coordinator to join our busy transport team. As a key point of contact for both customers and drivers, you'll play a vital role in keeping our HGV fleet running smoothly and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with customers and drivers alike. You'll be supporting our Transport Manager while developing your skills in logistics coordination and fleet management.
What You'll Be Doing
Daily Operations:
* Schedule and coordinate jobs for our HGV tipper truck fleet
* Manage customer queries and maintain excellent relationships
* Support drivers on the road with any queries or issues
* React quickly to daily changes in orders, availability, and maintenance needs
* Occasional cross-departmental support when the business would benefit
Administrative Support:
* Assist with transport administration and compliance documentation
* Maintain accurate customer information across all systems
* Support vehicle safety inspections and MOT arrangements
* Coordinate vehicle washing schedules and maintenance
Customer Service:
* Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
* Liaise with customers to meet current and anticipated orders
* Escalate complaints when necessary while maintaining positive relationships
