About the Role
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer‑focused people to join our Utility Division, working on our Southern Water contract service to deliver effective solutions to waste‑water network and drainage problems.
* Travelling to residential sites via HGV as part of a two‑person team, powering a high‑pressure water jet for restoration.
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
* Deliver good customer service.
* Maintain good H&S practice while carrying out works.
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE and safe site set‑ups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public and other road users.
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
* Liaise with the client regarding progress and any updates.
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions using correct PPE, lone‑worker system etc.
* Dynamically risk‑assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival.
* Provide support to colleagues.
* Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before/after use.
* Report any defects or malfunctions in regard to training.
* Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them.
* Any other reasonable ad‑hoc duties requested by management.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hard‑working, respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience with high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
