Teaching Personnel is seeking confident, experienced, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior classroom experience who are passionate about supporting young people and contributing to positive learning environments.
Role Overview
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term and long-term absence of the class teacher. You will deliver pre-planned lessons provided by teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task across a variety of subjects within the secondary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to secondary-aged students
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Maintain a calm, positive, and productive learning environment
Provide guidance and support to pupils where needed
Report on student progress or any issues to teaching staff
Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Requirements
Prior experience working with secondary school-age students (essential)
Strong classroom management skills and confidence leading groups
Ability to engage pupils and encourage positive behaviours
Adaptability to work across multiple schools and year groups
A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
Experience supporting pupils with SEN (desirable)
