Job summary

Tile House Surgery has an opportunity for a registrations and deductions administrator to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on apart-time basis for 20 hours per week (split into 4 x 5 hour shifts) over 4 days (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday).


Main duties of the job

* Processing all new patient registrations, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed correctly.
* Manage temporary and immediate necessary patient registrations.
* Inputting information from new patient questionnaires into patient records.
* Receive the Lloyd George records and update the computer system.
* Digitising patient paper records.
* Processing GP2GP transfers.
* Processing deductions for patients leaving the practice as per protocol.
* Prepare the Lloyd George records for deducted patients ready for collection.
* Update records accurately and ensure appropriate archiving or transfer of medical notes.
* Receive and make calls to/from patients with any queries to any part of the registration process or regarding address queries.
* Manage all internal transfers.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
* Ability to support and adhere to policy and procedures
* Ability to cope with change effectively
* Ability to work in a small team, enhance morale and maintain a positive working environment
* Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience using SystmOne is desirable but not essential
