Biomedical Scientist – Leeds Hospital | Pathology | Permanent | Full time | Up to £33,998.78 per annum depending on experience | 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties
As a Biomedical Scientist, you will:
* Deliver high-quality pathology services
* Complete your share of covering the out-of-hours on-call service
* Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control
* Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables
* Support the validation and assessment of new equipment and new diagnostic procedures
* Help ensure we deliver the very best experience for patients

Job responsibilities
As a Biomedical Scientist at our Leeds Hospital, you’ll bring relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You will have recent Histology working experience in a UKAS-accredited laboratory. You should have good working knowledge of analytical equipment across a range of techniques and be a natural communicator and team player who shares our commitment to quality.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in multidisciplinary biomedical science as a Biomedical Scientist
Experience
* Recent Histology working experience in a UKAS-accredited laboratory as a Biomedical Scientist
* Good working knowledge of analytical equipment across a range of techniques
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
