Job Details
Location: Liverpool/Sefton, with services across older adult services
Contract: Permanent, various posts available including part-time options
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (full and part-time)
Salary: £46,148 - £60,504 per annum (Band 7 - Band 8a)
Role Overview
We seek qualified practitioner psychologists with experience, skills, and enthusiasm to deliver quality services for older adults and those with dementia in Liverpool and Sefton. You will join a large psychology team that values person-centered and human rights-based approaches, with opportunities for CPD, reflective practice, supervision, and trainee placements.
The role involves providing psychological assessments, therapies, and interventions, offering expert advice and leadership within multidisciplinary teams. You will develop psychological skills across the workforce through training, supervision, and mentorship, promoting psychological interventions and collaborative working.
Essential Requirements
* Doctoral training in clinical psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent
* HCPC registration or eligibility
* Experience in psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment across various care settings
* Experience working with diverse client groups, including those with complex needs
* Supervision, teaching, or training experience
* Knowledge of neuropsychological assessments and application in different cultural contexts
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* Additional training in working with older adults or dementia
* Specific neuropsychological training
* Research methodology and data analysis skills
