We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Assistant to join our clients busy Conveyancing department. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a conveyancing legal office environment (essential)
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to Head of Conveyancer to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
* Act as a first point of contact for clients, handling calls, emails, and correspondence professionally.
* Prepare, file, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
* Monitor deadlines, manage diaries, and maintain accurate calendars.
* Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Use internal CRM systems and standard office software effectively.
* Proactively support the team by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.
* Strong understanding of legal procedures and day-to-day operations of a legal practice.
* Excellent organisational and secretarial skills.
* High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Office.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
* Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
