We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Officer to join a great team in Argyll and Bute making a real difference to service users. The ideal candidate will have relevant MHO training so can hit the ground running and become a valued member of the team.
Great pay opportunity of £45 to £50 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
7. Conduct mental health assessments and screenings to evaluate individuals' emotional and psychological well-being.
8. Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating therapeutic interventions and resources tailored to their specific needs.
9. Provide counseling, support, and crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health crises or distress.
10. Advocate for clients' rights and access to appropriate mental health services within the community.
11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
12. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
13. Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance and support, reflecting the function of the team and Adult Social Care in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.
14. Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written reports, statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings and applications to the Court of Protection.
15. Accountable for complex decision making and risk management in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, evidence-based tools, critical reflection and analysis to inform this.
16. Attend and represent the department at a range of multi-disciplinary forums and undertaking the role of Chair as required.
Requirements:
17. Social work degree or equivalent.
18. Mental Health Qualification
19. Member of the PVG scheme.
20. Registered with Scotland Social Service Council (SSSC).
21. Knowledge of theory and practice of care assessment, planning and detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and its application.
22. Supervisory skills, as may supervise students, trainees, support staff and volunteers.
23. Analytic, planning and communication skills.
