Year 5 Teacher – Maternity Cover

Our friendly and thriving primary school in Hounslow is looking for an experienced and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join our team for maternity cover, starting after the May half term. Role Overview:
As a Year 5 teacher, you will take full responsibility for teaching and managing the class, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment. You will be expected to plan, assess, and track the progress of students while maintaining excellent communication with both parents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Year 5 pupils, planning and delivering engaging lessons
* Take full responsibility for classroom management and student behaviour
* Assess, track, and report on student progress
* Work collaboratively with the school leadership team and other teachers
* Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on student progress
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching Year 5 or year 6.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* A passion for teaching and supporting student development
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
