Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist
Job Summary – High Intensity Trainee CBT Therapist (IAPT) at Bradford Talking Therapies. Staff attend University 2 days per week at University of Sheffield and work with clients on other days. Complete university assignments and practical tapes for supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide CBT interventions to clients, including individual and group sessions.
* Attend the IAPT accredited CBT training course and complete all required coursework.
* Submit practical tapes for supervision and university assignments.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with service procedures.
* Participate in 1:1 and group supervision to develop clinical skills.
* Engage in ongoing CPD and in‑house CBT‑related training.
* Contribute to service development, delivering other evidence‑based treatments and participating in SIG groups.
* Adopt a flexible schedule and support colleagues as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree level qualification in a relevant mental health subject, core profession qualification, or low‑intensity CBT qualification (PWP). Must have completed a KSA portfolio and be accredited for entry.
* Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a relevant mental health practice.
* Experience in evidence‑based psychological therapies.
* Knowledge of specialist clinical courses/training.
Desirable
* Involvement in innovative clinical practice.
* Experience delivering psychological therapies to groups.
* Self‑management skills, including time management.
Benefits & Working Conditions
* Full‑time, fixed‑term contract (12 months).
* Working pattern: Full time.
* Band 6 salary £38,682–£46,580 per annum.
* Location: New Mill, Victoria Road, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3LD.
