We’re hiring for an Electrical Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering company based in Stockport. In this role, you'll take a hands-on approach to servicing, installing, and maintaining diesel-powered generator systems and their electrical components – all while playing a key part in delivering high standards and ensuring client satisfaction on every project. What’s on offer? * £40,000 - £45,000 per year * Monday - Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm * Early finish on Fridays * Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate) * 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) * Paid travel other expenses (when working away) * Standard pension scheme What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter? * Carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel generator sets * Installing new generators and switchgear * Diagnosing faults and undertaking electrical testing to ensure system reliability * Supporting the service team with workshop duties when not travelling * Responding to emergency callouts and participating in the on-call rota * Liaising with clients on-site and ensuring all paperwork is returned promptly and accurately What do you need? * 18th Edition and 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification * City & Guilds ONC, BTEC ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent * Previous experience as an electrician * Previous experience working with diesel generators * Strong knowledge of electrical layouts, generator control systems, and protection devices * Familiarity with PLCs and microprocessor-based control systems * Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK Apply today or speak with Adam at KPJ Group for more information between 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
