Maintenance Technician – Double Days Poole Salary Dependent on Experience 20% Shift Allowance Our client that design, build and service highly engineered products within fluid and motion control applications are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing and experienced team! Maintenance Technician and Responsibilities: * Responsible for performing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on the plant * Fault finding within the machine shop environment and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as appropriate * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule * Carry out complete site maintenance for all aspects and areas of the site, maintaining a high standard of site facilities and the overall site environments / appearance * Conduct best practice and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement with regards to plant and equipment reliability * Work in a safe and tidy manner in line with company policy * Perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required * Adhering to safe working practices The ideal Maintenance Technician will: * Experienced with providing maintenance to CNC machines * A formal, recognised apprenticeship related to the trade endorsed by EITB, EMTA or AMA documentation or equivalent demonstratable experience * Fully skilled maintenance technician with either mechanical, electrical or electromechanical bias * Practical experience in fault finding within a machine shop environment, and the ability to repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems * PC Literate * Practical ability to fault find from electrical/mechanical drawings or PLC systems relating to hydraulics or pneumatics circuits (Desirable) * Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM / PPM / RCM) (Desirable) * Hold an academic qualification either BTEC, ONC, HNC/HND or equivalent Working Hours: * 2 Weeks of earlies: Monday to Thursday 6am – 14:15pm, Friday 6am-12pm * 2 Weeks of lates: Monday to Thursday 2:15pm – 10:15pm, Friday 12pm – 7:30pm * Shift Premium Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 27 years.
