GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Sheffield. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions, help manage behaviour using positive strategies, and create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically and personally. Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN. Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and independence. Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs and abilities. Support the implementation of EHCPs and learning plans. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN. Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
