The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require support in educational and social-emotional development
* Provide flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that meet learners’ needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK (including for remote work)
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagement via Worker status for short-term engagements; contract for service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage; insurance covers work
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
