Job Description - Associate Skilled Operator (00130304)
Location: Samlesbury/Warton – Onsite – Shift Work
Responsibilities
* Associate-skilled activities relating to one of the following: Composite structures - includes Ply-Cutting, Lay Up, Curing, De-Bagging, Rout Profiling and Repair
* Activities relating to the safe delivery of materials required by the point of use – i.e. safe manual handling techniques (including Forklift Truck and slinging operations), consolidation of kits for distribution, and delivery/removal of goods or waste items
* Physical transfer and storage of assets as well as all activities necessary to control and protect inventory, including Goods Receiving, Storage, Kitting, Packing, Despatch and regular stock checks
* Non-skilled elements in the manufacture of complex fabricated details, SPFDB assemblies, Pipes and associated bench assemblies
* Non-skilled elements of preparation and protective spraying of complex components major assemblies and aircraft
* All of the above will involve the completion of repetitive manufacturing tasks in line with technical information such as engineering drawings, process instructions and specifications.
* You will also be expected to perform duties within the areas of responsibility in accordance with current Health and Safety and Environmental Protection legislation, and in compliance with the Quality Management System.
Skills and experience
* Previous experience relating to the roles being advertised
* Manual dexterity skills and proficient in the use of hand tools
* Understanding of Tool Control, Tool calibration and Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D.) procedures
* Manufacturing build line experience in a neighbouring industry (e.g. Automotive, Maritime, etc.)
* For some roles, warehousing, distribution or logistics experience would be advantageous
