As a Lifting and Slinging Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be the technical authority for all lifting and slinging operations across our manufacturing facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. Day-to-day, you'll
* Act as the SME for lifting and slinging, providing training and guidance to shop floor operatives.
* Produce lift plans and ensure all lifting activities comply with legislation and Babcock policy.
* Lead the planning and execution of lifting operations across the Bristol site.
* Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, operations managers, and safety teams to support upcoming work packages.
* Manage lifting equipment stores and ensure all equipment is maintained, inspected, and fit for purpose.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol.
Essential experience of the Lifting and Slinging Specialist:
* Experience in lifting equipment inspections and overhead crane operations.
* Proven experience in complex lifting and slinging operations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings related to lifting and handling.
Qualifications for the Lifting and Slinging Specialist:
* Relevant slinging/lifting qualification or certificate with experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
