Machine Operative - Night Shift (4 on / 4 off, 6pm-6am)

Are you an experienced Machine Operative looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, process-driven manufacturing environment? We're recruiting for a hands-on, reliable Machine Operator to join a busy production team where you'll manage raw materials, oversee automated processes, and ensure machines run smoothly throughout each shift.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Carrying out pre-start checks and cleaning of the production line
* Setting up machinery and preparing raw materials
* Replenishing packaging and film supplies
* Starting production batches and monitoring output
* Manually handling and stacking finished goods
* Ensuring equipment hygiene standards are maintained
* Completing accurate production documentation
* Recording machine downtime and working with the team to reduce it
* Troubleshooting stoppages and resolving issues
* Supporting continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction
* Assisting with training of new or less experienced team members
What We're Looking For:
* Previous machine operating experience - ideally in food production
* Physically fit and confident with manual handling
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Basic IT skills for data entry and reporting
