Job Title: Welder

Location: Armstrong Street, Grimsby

Start Date: 18/08

Duration: 6 months may extend

Hours: 38 hours per week; overtime in busier periods

Rate: £22.44 per hour; OT1 £31.42; OT2 £40.39

Worley is currently recruiting for a Welder with TIG, Stick, MIG and Flux Core experience to join the Maintenance Team for a fixed term contract. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Grimsby workshop team.


Key Aims and Objectives

You will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of SMAW, GMAW, LCAW and GTAW welding processes, equipment and procedures. Internal codings will be required prior to mobilisation. You will be made aware of those procedures at point of on boarding. Other expectations also include:


Responsibilities

* Accountability for the safe and effective execution of welding activities in adherence with project specifications, processes and procedures.
* Demonstrate visible safety leadership by example and communication with team members.
* Provide information and support to line manager and supervisor.
* Interface with all project trades and disciplines.
* Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
* Complete all work scope in accordance with work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings.
* Provide support to other trades / disciplines, or be part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
* Provide timely feedback to supervisor or plant operator on ongoing status or completion of the task.
* Proactively seek additional tasks where time permits.
* Sign on to applicable permit to work (PTW) in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.
* Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to complete work scope safely.
* Adhere to all applicable company policies, working practices and procedures as communicated by the company from time to time.


Qualifications

Essential qualifications and certification

* NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Welder / Fabrication (or equivalent)
* CCNSG Safety Passport


Desirable Experience

* Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
* Demonstrate commitment to working safely at all times.
* Flexible – able to comply with company and client requirements.
* Ability to work with other team members / disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment.
* Confident and able to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
* Has a desire to learn and develop within the role.
* Experience in development works and pressure testing preferred.
