About the team and the role
The Product Technical & Compliance Coordinator will work in the Product Technical and Compliance team, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure product compliance across our webshop for both own brand and branded products. This role is crucial for managing due diligence and supporting other projects within the team.
The role may involve participating in an ‘On-Call’ rota after successful probation, which includes being on call during evenings and weekends on a rotational basis of 8-10 weeks.
What you’ll do
* Supplier Approval & Management - validate accreditation for branded suppliers and products with the Commercial team
* KPI reporting - collate and analyze KPIs periodically to identify trends and follow-up actions
* Customer Complaints & Refunds - investigate escalated complaints with the Customer Hub and Product Technical managers, and manage tracking systems for refunds
* Own Brand Specifications - ensure accuracy and compliance of Own Brand product & packaging specifications with the Own Brand team
* Non-Conforming Stock Management - issue product recalls or withdrawals as directed by the Product Technical & Compliance department
* Cross department projects - support initiatives like charitable donations and sustainability
* On Call - participate in out-of-hours incident response after training, on a rotational basis every 8-10 weeks
Who you are
* Experience with web-based systems
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
* Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
* Highly organized and self-motivated
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Adaptability in a fast-growing environment
* Ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Passionate, flexible, team-oriented, approachable, and communicative
Preferred Experience (additional to minimum)
* Some compliance experience in the food industry
* Manufacturing and retail experience
* Professional certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS) is desirable
* Experience with specification systems
