Senior Care Assistant
Base pay range: £13.77
Location: Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (33 hours per week, includes occasional evenings and alternate weekends)

Responsibilities
* Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting Residents with all aspects of daily living.
* Support training and supervision of junior and new Staff Members under the supervision of senior Staff Members.
* Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs (physical, emotional, spiritual), ensuring comfort and dignity.
* Pay particular attention to assisting Residents with limited mobility or learning difficulties, making best use of aids.
* Closely monitor Residents who may be confused or have behavioural problems.
* Assist in the promotion of continence.
* Assist in the delivery of care for Residents who are dying or have a progressive illness.
* Complete, observe & review care planning needs, and record daily care plans as instructed.
* Assist with the framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and encouraging hobbies.
* Answer Nurse call system and telephone appropriately, responding timely and passing on messages.
* Report on well-being of Residents and liaise with GPs and Support Managers.
Qualifications
* Warm, approachable, and brimming with positivity.
* Organised, reliable, and confident in leading a team.
* Creative, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others.
* Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
* Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to work towards this).
