Electronics/Embedded Design Engineer - Fully Remote

Redline has been retained by a global leader in power electronics solutions who are looking for an Electronics/Embedded Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team, based in Leicester (fully remote with occasional office visits).

Due to skills shortages and expansion, my client are seeking an Electronics/Embedded Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of large-scale power systems, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Static Var Compensators and Variable Speed Drives.


Responsibilities

* Design, develop and manufacture analogue and digital electronic circuits
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, commission and test electronic devices and equipment
* Develop embedded firmware and software for microcontrollers and processors
* Work on UPS systems primarily, with occasional work on static compensators and variable speed drives
* PCB layout and prototyping
* Collaborate with a small engineering team in the UK and the US


Key skills and experience

* Proven experience in analogue and digital circuit design at a high level
* Embedded programming using C or C++ (self-sufficient across multiple software files)
* PCB layout and development
* Robust experience in an Electronics Design role
* Experience with embedded firmware for microcontrollers and processors
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
