The purpose of this role as a Field Service Engineer is to support the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and service partners. Do you want the challenge of working both independently and as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair advanced imaging equipment?
This position is field-based in the South East area.
You are responsible for
* Providing expert advice and solutions to customers and colleagues at an advanced technical level.
* Offering field-based and remote technical support in line with your training and experience.
* Performing corrective, preventative, installation, and field change activities on complex healthcare systems.
* Diagnosing mechanical, hardware, and software failures using established procedures.
* Determining the most cost-effective repair solutions to minimize customer downtime.
* Participating in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team, providing remote support to customers in a 5 by 7 working pattern.
You are part of a regional team of collaborative Field Service Engineers committed to delivering first-class service while adhering to Quality & Regulatory standards in this heavily regulated industry.
You report directly to the District Service Delivery Manager.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
* HNC (NVQ Level 4) or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent (highly desirable)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Experience in corrective and preventative maintenance for Imaging Systems devices (desirable)
* Ability to understand multi-modality and diverse product ranges
* Ability to recognize new technologies and adapt to daily challenges
* High levels of customer service
* IT/Network diagnosis, system connectivity, and remote service skills (desirable)
* Living in the South East region, preferably near London or South West.
