Lead a Team to Provide Inclusive, Innovative and Safe Learning Environments – Join us as Inclusive Learning Team Leader.
As an Inclusive Learning Team Leader at EKC Sheppey College, you will manage a team of Learning Support Practitioners (LSPs) to provide innovative holistic support and safeguarding for all students. You will oversee in‑class and out‑of‑class support across all vocational areas, coordinate with schools to ensure smooth transition experiences, and manage health requirements for students with profound medical and physical needs. You will liaise with schools, relevant professionals, and supervise therapeutic support and health care plans. You will develop safeguarding risk assessments, behaviour support plans, and work with students, families and professionals to address needs. You will conduct annual reviews of EHCPs and maintain working knowledge of Education and Health Care Plans.
Hours per week: 18.5
Salary per year: £15,055
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking individual to join our team and make a meaningful difference to young people with Special Educational Needs. You will bring experience from the SEN or Care sector, and the ability to lead and support a team in a positive, student‑focused environment. Experience with challenging behaviour and SEHM needs, using proactive strategies, and proficiency with communication aids such as Makaton, visual prompts, and symbol support is essential.
