The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic programming of CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with engineering specifications and production targets. Shift time: Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:00 Friday 06:00-10:00 Payrate : £12.47 per hour Machine Operative Duties: Set up and operate machines according to job specifications Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and job instructions Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures as required Run machine programs and make basic program edits or offsets when needed Monitor machine operations and production runs to ensure accuracy and efficiency Identify and troubleshoot machine or program issues, reporting faults when necessary Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with health and safety standards Complete production documentation, recording measurements, output, and any deviations Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet production targets Requirements Previous experience using CNC machine or similar machine operator role Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation Knowledge of CNC machinery and tooling Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to use measurement instruments Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision Strong awareness of safety procedures and best practices Flexibility to work shifts or overtime when required
