SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Tadcaster
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner
GSL Education are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant with an SEMH focus to support secondary pupils in the Tadcaster area.
About the School
The provision supports pupils with additional needs through tailored learning, therapeutic approaches and strong pastoral care. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel supported and understood.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
* Provide targeted SEN and SEMH support
* Support pupils with EHCPs
* Assist with emotional and behavioural needs
* Support learning and engagement in lessons
* Liaise with teachers and SEN staff
Requirements
* Experience supporting SEN or SEMH pupils
* Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN strategies
* Patient and empathetic approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
