Position Details
* Job Title: Medical Front Desk / Patient Access Representative
* Location: Johnstown, PA (with occasional travel to Altoona)
* Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
* Shift: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:45 AM until the last patient is seen
* Pay: $18-$21/hour (commensurate with experience)
Your Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will:
* Efficiently open and close the office, ensuring security and readiness.
* Collect and organize patient records from referring offices for appointments.
* Assess patient information to prioritize appointment urgency.
* Manage check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and professionalism.
* Schedule and adjust patient appointments as necessary.
* Handle payments, including copays and self-pay balances, while maintaining precise records.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Experience: Prior experience in medical front desk operations is a must!
* Skills: Excellent communication skills, a friendly phone demeanor, and proficiency with computer systems.
* Training: No prior ophthalmology experience is required; we provide comprehensive training!
