The post holder will be an integral member of the Corporate Communications team in the provision of a modern, professional and responsive strategic communication service to support NIFRS in achieving its purpose, outcomes and values. Collaborating across NIFRS in the development of a high quality, innovative and creative graphic design service that meets client’s needs; Acting as a key contact between NIFRS and the website supplier in relation to website design and maintenance in line with relevant legislation; Developing creative solutions for communication and engagement initiatives that will be implemented across a range of media and reflect organisational brand guidelines; Assisting in embedding the corporate identity and brand guidelines to help enhance NIFRS corporate image.
Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing creative design concepts and solutions for a range of internal and external communications, branding and marketing materials.
* Including digital magazines, social media graphics, corporate templates and website etc.
* Liaising with internal customers to discuss and agree concepts, design, development and presentation of creative work.
* Providing innovative solutions that address different audiences and maximise the opportunities for engagement with the community.
* Identifying design trends that can be utilised and/or adapted to optimise communication campaigns.
* Developing and maintaining a design library of all material produced for NIFRS in line with copyright guidance.
* Championing the use and development of NIFRS Brand Guidelines and providing advice and guidance to relevant suppliers and stakeholders.
* Working closely with the external website supplier in developing the design and content to comply with current legislation and the associated standards.
* Ensure that all content published online conforms to the rules and standards agreed by NIFRS and other relevant bodies, including editorial guidelines.
* Security procedures, technical compliance and legal requirements such as data protection and accessibility.
* Implementing the day-to-day publication, creation, development, performance and evaluation of the website including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) tactics.
* Tracking the success of digital activity using analytics and insights through the development of dashboard and reporting mechanisms.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of social media channels using customer insight (e.g. digital analytic tools) to make informed content decisions and drive continuous improvement.
* Support the development, implementation and evaluation of all E-communication including the expansion of NIFRS offering across the digital world as a tool to communicate and engage with key audiences.
* Supporting the development of new platforms and projects such as an Employee App in enhancing internal digital communication.
* Co-ordinate the procurement and delivery of services required from external providers.
* Contribute to Corporate Communications business plan as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Please note original certificates will be required for proof of all qualifications.
* Possess a relevant professional qualification such as but not limited to Graphic Design, Visual Design or Multimedia Graphic Production. (Level 5).
* AndAt least 2 years relevant experience within a professional graphic design environment.
* Can demonstrate:Evidence of designing a wide variety of print, digital and marketing materials for successful, creative campaigns.
* Ability to understand, conceptualise and negotiate on graphic design requirements to meet specific briefs.
* Evidence of working within corporate brand guidelines including styling and imagery guidelines.
* Practical skills of using full Adobe Creative suite including InDesign and Illustrator.
* Experience in developing and improving website design, structure and functionality including carrying out user research and testing.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* IT capable specifically in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook).
* Possess a full, current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport which enables them to fulfil the full requirements of the job.
