Support Your Local Community as a Volunteer
We are looking for organised, reliable and compassionate volunteer to support our retail stores as a retail assistant.
Location: Alfreton, Bakewell, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Eckington, Hasland, Killamarsh, Matlock, Rowsley, Staveley, Shirebrook
Time commitment: A regular commitment would be wonderful - ideally one morning or afternoon each week. That said, a few hours weekly would still make a meaningful difference and be greatly appreciated
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Retail Volunteer, you’ll be part of a welcoming team of staff and volunteers who work together to create a great experience for everyone who visits the shop. Depending on your interests, you may help with tasks such as greeting customers, serving on the till, keeping the shop looking tidy and inviting, pricing donations, replenishing displays, or supporting general housekeeping. Every contribution helps the shop run smoothly and raises vital funds for Ashgate Hospice.

You don’t need previous experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Important Information
* Volunteers must be aged 16 or over
* All volunteers are required to attend:
o Voluntary Statutory Training (3 hours)
o Ashgate Hospice Induction (3 hours)
* Local role-specific training will be provided
* Confidentiality around patient and hospice information is essential
