Job Title: Citizens in Policing Coordinator - HC622811
Location: Fareham Police Station
Salary: Scale 6, £33,603.00 - £35,772.00 per annum
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Closing Date: Sunday 7th December 2025 at 23:59 hours
Job Purpose
This role will involve engaging and supporting Special Constables and volunteers across all our volunteering schemes.
The successful candidate will cover East Hants, Hart and Rushmoor and Basingstoke Districts. There will be travel involved to these areas, and as you will be working with volunteers there will be some evening and weekend working involved.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
1. To assist the Special Constables Management Team with appropriate administrative support and to attend SC District meetings as required.
2. To assist with and co-ordinate unsatisfactory performance process meetings in conjunction with the Special Constabulary Management team and local commanders as required. To monitor Special Constables through the non-independent stage of their training and support where appropriate.
3. To act as a point of contact for volunteer schemes within the Citizens in Policing portfolio:
providing support and guidance to line managers and the wider organisation
producing statistical reports when required
managing queries/questions from outside organisations
acting as administrator for relevant IT systems
4. To provide regular contact and pastoral support to Police Support Volunteers throughout their time with the organisation, additionally managing reward and recognition and references where appropriate.
5. To maintain appropriate support for Community Speed watch in terms of training, administration and relationships.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
Essential Experience
Experience of work in a clerical or administrative capacity in a busy office environment.
Desirable: To have experience in a public facing role (either paid or voluntary).
