A world leading UK manufacturer of Heat Exchangers is currently seeking a highly motivated individual, ideally NEBOSH/IOSH Qualified, to join their team as Part Time Health and Safety Coordinator. Main focus for the role of Health and Safety Coordinator is to manage, develop, implement and maintain the health and safety programs including hazard communication, control of change, PPE, dangerous goods, regulatory reporting and data collection.
Offered as a Permanent contract with competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension and immediate start available, the role of Health and Safety Coordinator would suit a candidate with a strong understanding of health and safety management systems, good interpersonal skills, effective leadership qualities and the ability to engage well with others. Additionally, they should be capable of presenting information clearly and delivering training programs as needed.
Duties of Health and Safety Coordinator:
* Provide consultation and oversight into the site hazardous waste management system
* Establishing training on proper labelling, and overall guidance to facilitate compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
* Assist in finding dispositions for off-spec or recyclable, and reporting of hazardous materials
* Inspect manufacturing operations, office and shipping areas the facility's grounds
* Perform gap analysis and internal audits against global EHS Policy and international standards
* Responsible for leading, driving the Safety Committee Meetings and accountable for driving the safety culture
* Develop/maintain site policies and procedures related to H&S Management system
* Perform evaluations and assist in implementation of process improvements
* Participate with teams to design new and existing processes with hazard, minimisation and waste reduction as primary objective
* Perform COSHH, risk assessments and process evaluations to determine the need for engineering controls and/or administrative controls
* Provide management and effective reporting and investigation of the accidents
Skills/attributes required for the role of Health and Safety Coordinator:
* NEBOSH / IOSH Qualified
* Experience in managing health and safety management systems
* Able to communicate safety knowledge to employees
* Good people skills, with strong leadership and personal interaction
* Able to present information and deliver training programs as required
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of work: 8 to 16 hours per week (flexible on days/hours each week depending on business needs)

Salary: £16.50 per hour
