Job Title: Apprentice Chef
* 25+ hours per week. Shift work including evenings and weekends, exact shifts to be confirmed.
Are you ready to turn your hand to new skills? We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Chef – helping our kitchen team make amazing food for our guests.
Summary
As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll work towards a Production Chef - Level 2 qualification. The training will be delivered through work-based learning and include functional skills.
You’ll be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to company specification under the guidance of the Head Chef.
As a Chef Apprentice, you’ll:
1. Ensure all menu items and specials are prepared, cooked, and presented to company standards.
2. Maintain portion control and minimize wastage.
3. Receive and check food deliveries.
4. Assist with orders, stock taking, food hygiene, and team training and development.
5. Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning correctly.
You should have basic cooking skills, a desire to learn, and a good attitude. Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in a busy kitchen environment is essential.

Apprenticeship Details
* Duration: 12–15 months.
* On-site learning with no college attendance required.
* Option to attend Chef Academy masterclasses on meat, poultry, vegetarian, vegan, fish, and shellfish dishes, held 6 times a year.
* Ongoing support from managers and apprenticeship providers.
