Our Wales & Short Sea Ports (WSSP) division is the largest in terms of number of Ports comprising 16 of our 21 Ports. These ports are spread across East Anglia, Wales, South West, North West and Scotland and includes key Ports for British trade such as Cardiff, Ipswich and the Royal Port of Barrow. We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Data Controller to sit within the Engineering Planning team in Newport. You'll be responsible for tracking all engineering assets across the 16 ports, maintaining their record within our computerised system and ensuring the data and maintenance record is up to date.
Ideally you'll have experience of working with a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), but we are also keen to speak with candidates who have strong database or excel skills who have worked in roles involving the recording and updating of data.

Accountabilities
1. Ensure all policies, legal requirements and best practices are developed (in a practical and deliverable manner at Port level) and fully implemented by the Port management across W&SSP.
2. Perform asset documentation gap analysis.
3. Manage storage of asset risk mitigation plans.
4. Maintain continuous alignment across W&SSP to use standardised procedures.
5. Ensure correct use of documentation storage, and achieve a standard approach across W&SSP.
6. Implement and operate development and continuous improvement projects and deliver any required training.
7. Mentor and coach the W&SSP team(s) in asset storage management.
Skills & Experience
1. A good understanding of MS Office and competent IT skills.
2. Detailed knowledge of Computer-aided technologies.
3. Up-to-date with the latest technological developments.
4. Full Driving Licence.
5. Ideally knowledge of Mainsaver or similar CMMS.
