Senior engineering leadership role within a highly regulated API/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Responsible for setting and delivering site engineering strategy across process, maintenance, automation and capital projects, supporting major plant expansion and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead completion and operational handover of a new large-scale API facility (4 reactors, 2–4.5m³, with associated downstream processing).
* Design and deliver Phase II expansion (additional reactor line).
* Own and implement site-wide Process Safety strategy and risk management framework.
* Develop and execute a 5–7 year asset aging, obsolescence and innovation roadmap.
* Lead multidisciplinary engineering, automation and maintenance teams in a cGMP environment.
* Oversee capital projects, engineering assets, utilities, BMS and contractor management.
* Ensure full regulatory, cGMP and HSE compliance.
* Support commissioning of hydrogenation and continuous manufacturing technologies.
* Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven leadership of engineering and maintenance teams in pharmaceutical or fine chemical manufacturing.
* Strong capital project and plant commissioning experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in Process Safety systems.
* Deep understanding of cGMP and regulated manufacturing environments
* Chartered Engineer status.
* API or fine chemical manufacturing experience.
* Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or manufacturing excellence frameworks.
