Exceed has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Third Line ICT Support Engineer to join our Aberdeen Head Office.
This is a hands-on role within our ICT Managed Services team, acting as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues while maintaining critical infrastructure and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the final escalation point for complex technical incidents
* Manage and resolve major incidents, including root cause analysis
* Maintain core infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, M365)
* Administer virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
* Support and manage network infrastructure, security, and connectivity
* Monitor backups, disaster recovery, and system performance
* Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, and deployments
* Automate processes and improve system reliability
* Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
* Mentor junior engineers and support team development
* Participate in on-call rota and out-of-hours support
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in a 3rd line or senior infrastructure role
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, and Group Policy
* Experience with virtualisation and cloud platforms
* Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing)
* Scripting experience (PowerShell essential)
