Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are a well established pub set in the heart of Surrey with a 3 AA rosette rating held since 2021.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As Senior Sous Chef you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes according to 3AA Rosette standards
Assist Executive Chef with smooth running of the kitchen
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Leading the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high quality service levels
Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Assist the Executive Chef with GP tracking, stock control & supplier relationship management.
Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Experience
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management and training.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to contribute positively to the kitchen environment.
Experience in a 2 or 3 Rosette kitchen environment.
