Business Development Manager – Garage Equipment/ Regional South
Hella Gutmann is a leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality diagnostic solutions, ADAS calibration equipment, software and technical data.
We are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager to cover the south of England & South Wales.
The main focus of the role is to visit garages & bodyshops to demonstrate and sell our range of diagnostics tools and ADAS calibration equipment.
Key Responsibilities
· Achieve sales targets on Hella Gutmann garage equipment within the region. Diagnostic tools, ADAS Calibration equipment, remote diagnostics & training are all included within the product portfolio.
· Demonstrate diagnostics tools & ADAS calibration equipment to workshops/garages.
· Drive sales conversions by following up regularly with end-users and distributors after all demonstrations.
· Follow-up leads from existing customers / distributors.
· Pro-actively generate new leads within the region.
· Provide regular reports detailing work carried out, opportunities identified and actions required for sales conversions.
· Demonstrate the features and benefits of the products to wholesalers.
· Provide training and aftersales support to the end user. This will include installation of ADAS calibration equipment.
· Feedback regularly on market conditions and competitor product / activity.
· Advise on requirements for future development of products and services.
· Build close working relationships with all internal departments.
· Co-operate with Hella Gutmann and Hella parts teams, supporting colleagues when required.
· Ensure that Hella is perceived by customers as a professional supplier that is easy to do business with.
Experience/Qualifications
· Experience in the UK automotive aftermarket industry. Time served as a mechanic/vehicle technician is an advantage but not essential.
· A strong mix of sales skills & technical knowledge.
· An in-depth working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and ADAS systems.
· Expertise in building good working relationships with customer.
· Excellent communication/presentation skills with the ability to negotiate.
· Logical/ methodical approach with attention to detail.
· Passionate and self-motivated.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
· Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
· To be versatile and flexible with the ability to stay away from home if required.
· Present a professional manner at all times.
