Job Title: SEND Teacher (PMLD & Complex Needs)
Area: Rochdale, Manchester
Start Date: ASAP – September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

🧩 About the Role:
1. Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2-KS4, with a focus on PMLD and complex needs
2. Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes, developmental milestones, and sensory requirements
3. Support pupils’ holistic development-academic, social, emotional, and communication skills
4. Collaborate closely with the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists, and families to provide a consistent and effective approach
5. Monitor pupil progress, contribute to reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
What We’re Looking For:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience teaching in an SEN or PMLD setting, or strong SEND knowledge within mainstream education
8. A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management and complex needs
9. Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting every pupil’s progress
10. Creativity, patience, and ability to develop personalised, meaningful learning experiences
To Be Eligible You Must:
11. Hold the Right to Work in the UK
12. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
13. Provide two professional child-related references
