We are currently seeking a full-time Charge Nurse / Lead Registered Nurse / Unit Lead (RGN / RMN) to join our team.
Role Details
This is a full-time position, 38.5 hours per week, for day shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Take charge of night duty operations, ensuring all shifts are covered, and supervise and train staff.
2. Promote independence and improve mobility among elderly and dementia residents.
3. Lead, motivate, and mentor your team; provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure safe work practices that meet standards.
4. Address both physical and mental health issues associated with aging.
5. Establish personal rapport with residents and relevant persons to identify their care requirements.
6. Perform regular checks on clients as determined by the Home Manager.
7. Ensure Care Plans are completed, maintained, and adhere to NMC guidelines and company policies.
8. Administer prescribed medicines and document in accordance with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
9. Manage the ordering, storage, and administration of drugs in line with client needs and medical guidelines.
10. Maintain accurate records and review individual Care Plans regularly.
11. Provide clear handover reports to staff at the end of each shift.
12. Adhere to all relevant NMC guidelines and regulations.
13. Participate in promoting and maintaining the quality culture within Handsale Care Group, following Quality Assurance Systems.
Qualifications and Skills
* Registered with the NMC as RGN or RMN.
* Experience in elderly and dementia care environments is preferred.
* Confidence in care planning and delivery.
* Flexibility to work various shifts.
* Satisfactory DBS / POVA checks.
