Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Basingstoke, seeking to appoint a Head of Year from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a pivotal role in shaping the pastoral care and academic progress of students.

About the Role:
* Lead the pastoral care and academic progress of a full year group
* Monitor attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, and progress – ensuring every student is supported to succeed
* Work closely with teaching staff, SLT, and parents/carers to maintain high standards
* Foster a positive culture of respect, ambition, and inclusion across the year group
* Support and contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic improvement plans

The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience working in a secondary setting
* Demonstrates a strong pastoral ethos and a proven track record of supporting young people
* Confident in managing behaviour and leading interventions to promote progress
* Able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
* A team player with strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
