With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.
We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist within our North Angus community rehabilitation team. You should be an experienced occupational therapist with the confidence to manage a complex and varied community caseload; with the ability to and experience of supporting and educating others. While this role is community based, you may on occasion be required to provide clinical input to the elective surgical wards at Stracathro Hospital and medicine for the elderly rehabilitation wards at Whitehills Health Care and Community Centre.
You should also have experience in leading change and being involved in quality improvement. If you have excellent collaborative and leadership skills you could be a great asset to our service as we continue to make developments for the benefit of our patients and staff. The Occupational Therapy Service in Angus offers comprehensive support, supervision and is committed to Continued Professional Development and actively uses Turas.
You should possess a BSc/Dip COT in Occupational Therapy, have previous post graduate experience, be registered with HCPC and engage in continuing personal development. This post will be based at Stracathro Hospital, Brechin. A requirement of this post is a willingness to travel across the locality to visit patients in their own environments and occasionally to our other service sites in Forfar and Arbroath for meetings and to provide clinical support when required.
Current NHS Tayside Employees - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.
Hours of work are: 37 hours per week, part time hours will be considered.
As part of the National delivery plan for AHPs, NHS Tayside is developing services that offer direct access, 7 day service and genuine partnership with patients.
