Would you enjoy supporting the strategic leadership of our school and ensuring compliance with governance regulations? Stanley Park Junior School are seeking a dedicated Clerk to the Governors to provide professional administrative and advisory support to our Governing Body.
Stanley Park Junior School is unique for its supportive, nurturing atmosphere where all staff work collaboratively to ensure that our children get the best possible experience whilst at our school. We are a Foundation School in the London Borough of Sutton and were rated 'Good' in our last Ofsted in September 2023. We are a successful, caring, and happy school that prides itself on a strong and stable staff team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide effective advice on governance, procedure, and legislation
2. Prepare agendas and supporting documents for meetings
3. Attend and accurately record minutes of FGB and committee meetings
4. Maintain governor records, registers of interests, and statutory documents
5. Manage clerking communications and deadlines
6. Ensure confidentiality is upheld

7. Proven clerking or similar administrative experience
8. Strong verbal and written communication
9. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
10. Discretion and confidentiality
11. Knowledge of education governance
12. Good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour

This is a zero hours contract and all work completed will be claimed a month in areas. Casual employment of approximately 110hrs a year.
