Known for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support our team and ensure the smooth execution of their projects.
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Site Engineer to oversee civil engineering projects in Stratford-upon-Avon area. You’ll be working closley with their senior engineer, setting out and completing other engineering duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily site operations, ensuring that work is carried out to the required quality standards.
Interpret and implement technical drawings and specifications on-site.
Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor and report on site progress, ensuring works are completed on time and within budget.
Assist with managing site logistics, including materials, plant, and workforce allocation.
Provide technical guidance and support to site teams.
Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate site records, including reports, diaries, and compliance documentation.
Ensure that all works are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering (ideally within roadworks, drainage, utilities, or similar sectors).
Solid understanding of civil engineering practices and construction techniques.
Proficiency in using CAD software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
A valid CSCS card and relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks on-site.Desirable:
Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Previous experience working on civil engineering projects in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.
