The Role: Head of FP&A
As Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will play a critical senior leadership role within the Finance team. Working closely with the CFO and the wider executive team, you will drive strategic financial planning, deliver business-critical insights, and shape performance across the organisation.
This is a highly visible role, requiring strong business partnering skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership
* Align the FP&A function to company strategy and support key business initiatives.
* Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO and contribute to cross-functional projects and decisions.
* Represent Finance in executive-level discussions.
Business Partnering & Commercial Insight
* Provide robust financial support to Operational and Support Centre leaders.
* Promote a performance-driven culture through proactive collaboration.
* Evaluate promotional and investment strategies.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
* Lead annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles.
* Partner with heads of departments to set realistic and challenging financial targets.
* Identify risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Financial Reporting & Performance Management
* Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of management reporting and KPIs.
* Lead monthly business performance reviews with senior leaders.
* Continuously improve the clarity and consistency of executive MI.
Controls, Systems & Process Improvement
* Enhance financial controls and streamline reporting processes.
* Maximise the use of financial tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Adaptive Insights.
* Support scenario modelling and commercial evaluations for major projects.
What We’re Looking ForEssential Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a relevant degree.
* Strong background in multi-site, fast-paced organisations.
* Proven leadership and business partnering experience.
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
* Experience working in Private Equity environments.
* Background in the healthcare or dental industry.
* Exposure to Power BI and Adaptive Insights.
