This is an exciting and dynamic technical role essential to Manufacture, Assembly, Integration, and Test of flight hardware. You will be supporting the definition of the standard processes for composite panels, spacecraft structures, propulsion, and payloads, and provide ownership, measurement, and improvement of manufacturing processes essential to delivering spacecraft on time, on cost, and on quality.
As an apprentice in the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will be involved in:
* Introduction of manufacturing best practice/standardization into design
* Creation of build documentation
* Improvement of existing processes
* Innovation and bringing ideas to life
Outward Bound: During the 1st year of the apprenticeship, you will attend a week of Team Building Activities and Exercises at one of the Outward-Bound UK Sites. You will work as a team to complete daily activities such as Rock Climbing, Hiking, Abseiling, Canoeing, and more.
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:
* 120 UCAS points made up of 3 A levels at grade B or above, which must include Maths, and Physics or Technology or an Engineering-based subject, plus another subject other than General Studies and Critical Thinking
* BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Engineering with a minimum grade DDM, which must include a Merit in Further Mathematics
* Access Course Tariff - 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction to include Maths or Science or principles units, with the remaining 15 L3 credits being at merit
* GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English Language

* Aptitude for mechanical engineering, building & assembling parts/products and innovation (AI, Machine learning, robotics, 3D printing)
