Position: Science Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Long-term (September 2026 – July 2027, with the potential for a permanent role)
Pay: £160 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton. This long-term position will begin in September 2026 and run through to July 2027, teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
You will be supported with lesson planning and teaching resources, enabling you to focus on delivering engaging lessons that build students’ curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Overseas-trained teachers with experience of the UK curriculum are also encouraged to apply.

This is a well-established secondary school for students aged 11–16 that has been rated “Good” by Ofsted. Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Recent experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
Enthusiastic about Science and able to make lessons engaging and accessible for students.
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 is preferred.
A collaborative and adaptable approach to teaching.
