We're looking for two committed Support Workers to join our team in Flackwell Heath one for 20 hours and another for 15 hours per week, working as part of a rota that provides 24/7 support. These are part-time roles, so if you're looking for consistency and purpose, read on.
You'll be supporting six sociable, outgoing gentlemen with learning disabilities in their own home, helping them to live life on their terms not just day to day, but moment to moment.
What does support look like?
You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping each man lead a meaningful, connected life filled with the things he enjoys, values, and chooses.
Here’s a glimpse into daily life:
* Supporting Tim* to volunteer at the local charity shop
* Dancing along to ABBA with Michael*
* Helping Jake* build the next epic Lego creation
* Going to the pub on Fridays with Dan*
* Cooking new meals together or heading out to do something good for the community, like litter picking
While each person enjoys group activities, you’ll also get to know their individual routines and preferences from attending health appointments, to offering reassurance during a quiet moment at home.
