Daily Pay: £89.38 (£13.75 per hour) – paid weekly

A friendly and nurturing Welsh-medium primary school in Tonypandy is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team and provide support to pupils who may struggle with behaviour, emotions, or social skills.

Your Role in a Primary School Setting:
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and support teams to create a calm, positive environment for learners. You’ll help children build confidence, develop positive behaviour strategies, and feel included in school life. Your responsibilities will include:
* Working 1:1 or in small groups with children needing emotional or behavioural support
* Using play, routine, and positive reinforcement to help pupils manage feelings
* Supporting learning by helping pupils stay focused and engaged
* De-escalating challenging behaviour in a sensitive and child-friendly way
* Logging key incidents and contributing to behaviour support plans
* Being a friendly, consistent presence that children can rely on
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Is fluent in Welsh (spoken and written)
* Is calm, kind, and approachable, even in difficult situations
* Has strong communication skills with young children
* May have experience in youth work, care, childcare, mentoring, coaching, or similar roles
* Understands the emotional and social needs of primary-aged pupils
* Truly cares about helping children succeed, both emotionally and academically
Previous experience in a school isn’t essential – if you’ve worked with children or vulnerable individuals, we’d love to hear from you.

* EWC registration (Learning Support Worker category)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Two recent references
