Job Summary
Consumer Cellular is adding to our team of incredible relationship builders, conversation havers, and wireless technology lovers. A key member of our team is the Retail Wireless Sales Specialist, who works directly with customers, listening to their needs and ensuring we provide a product-based solution. Our Retail Wireless Sales Specialists are motivated by delivering a world-class experience, where customers leave with a smile on their face and a working phone in hand.
Pay and Schedule
Our Retail Wireless Sales Specialist earns between $17.50-$18.50/hour plus uncapped commission. This position is classified as modified full-time, which means the work schedule will range between 30 to 39 hours per week. On average, most employees in this role work approximately 35 hours per week, offering a consistent schedule while maintaining flexibility.
Responsibilities
* Brand Ambassador – Ensure the store is comfortable, welcoming, and always open for our guests. Reflect our core value of Happy Employees make Happy Customers by bringing your authentic self to work.
* Relationship Builder – Build relationships with guests, team members, and field leadership. Be an active listener, a solution finder, and a conversation initiator.
* Product and Services Enthusiast – Receive training on products and services, translate technology into real-world conversations, attend meetings and training, and work with the team to provide the best care for guests.
* Account Management – Set and be available for guest appointments. Investigate and solve problems when reviewing guest accounts; determine the best plans and offers for each guest; document customers’ accounts with relevant notes and details.
What You Need To Win In This Role
* Education and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required; positive attitude and ability to make the customer a priority.
* At least 6 months of customer service experience in a retail setting. Bonus points if you have worked in the wireless industry.
* Experience operating a POS system and ensuring accurate transactions.
* Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Schedule and Attendance: Flexibility, including weekends. Retail store is open six to seven days a week. Hours vary typically 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
* Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and moving items (standing 6-8 hours). Move around the store, assist customers, and maneuver merchandise. Regular store cleaning including display cases, shelves, and maintaining a clean and safe store for guests.
